CANINE OF THE MONTH:
Our Canine of the Month is K9 Peter. He is a 11 months old German Shepherd. He loves to play fetch with his favorite rope ball toy, go for walks, runs, and just jump for his toys!

- Monthly Maintenance Plan - Starting this month our trainers are beginning a new monthly training maintenance plan for all past clients. Each month entitles you to 1 private lesson, a couple of drop in specialty classes and 1 night of boarding all included!
- Overnight Pet Sitting is Here! - Need to go out of town but don't want your animals to leave your house? Our trainers are now able to pet sit for you overnight.
- Group Lessons - Group lessons are ongoing in Austin, Kyle, Buda, and Bastrop!

Breed of the Month:
The Breed of this Month is the Anatolian Shepherd Dog. This independant flock guardian hails from the middle east. As smart as they are loving, this pup will protect its flock whether that is children, livestock, or even the house cat. Click below to read more about the Anatolian Shepherd Dog.

- Puppy Group Lesson (3 Week Training Course) - Sat. May 11, 2024 4PM @ Buda City Park, 204 San Antonio St., Buda, Tx 78610. Classes will be held in front of the giant covered pavillion off San Antonio St. and Main St. Puppies aged 10 weeks - 5 months with their first 2 rounds of puppy vaccinations are welcome to register for classes. Class dates: May 11, May 18, May 25

- All specialty classes are $15 drop-in fee. Canines must have a current rabies and bordetella vaccinations. Limit 1 dog per handler.
Mutt Mush
- Sat., May 25th at 10AM - Bastrop State Park, 100 Park Road 1A, Bastrop, Tx 78602 (We will gather between 9:30-10am in the parking lot of the American Legion across the street from the park to meet and decide upon a trail to start down. Bring water, good hiking shoes, a leash, poop bags, and an adventerous spirit! NOTE: there is a $5 admission fee for adults 13+ to enter the park)
Pack Prowl
- Sun., May 26th at 10AM - Main Street Buda, 121 Main St., Buda, Tx 78610 (We will meet up in the parking lot of Inspired Minds Art Center between 9:30AM - 10AM and start our walk from there. Please bring comfortable shoes, water if needed, a leash, poop bags, and courage to walk a whole pack!)

Monthly Howl Photo Contest
The Monthly Howl needs a new Canine of the Month for the June issue!
Submit your canine's picture along with their name, age, breed(s), and some of their hobbies for a chance to win. The winner will receive a bag of treats, 2 free 30 minute walks (to be performed by one of our certified trainers within 30 days of the award date), and a free photo session with your canine.
Submissions can be sent to either our Facebook Page under the appropriate post or emailed to admin@unitedk9academysanmarcos.com with "The June Howl Photo Contest" in the subject line.
Entries for the June issue will be accepted from May 15th through May 30th. The winner will be chosen on May 31st.
